Our 2025 Support The Foundation mobilized more than 1,600 volunteers across 96 projects, reaching an estimated 25,000 individuals across our communities. These numbers reflect not just hours given, but lives touched—a powerful reminder that meaningful change happens together.
Our Purpose The Foundation exists to connect people, inspire service, and strengthen our communities. We focus principally on volunteerism and community-building, making hands-on service the heart of everything we do. Our three primary goals are: Volunteerism: Create opportunities for individual and group volunteer engagement Community: Foster a deeper sense of connection among our volunteers and the people we serve Support: Strengthen the local and broader communities where our volunteers live and work These goals come to life through the dedication of our board, office committees, volunteers, and long-term community partners working together to turn shared values into shared action.

Who We Are For more than 25 years, the Holland & Hart Foundation has been the “heart” of the firm—carrying forward a longstanding tradition of community service that defines who we are. As a nonprofit dedicated to creating meaningful volunteer opportunities for lawyers, business professionals, families, friends, and community members we share a commitment to giving back. Founded in 1998 by retired Holland & Hart partner Sam Guyton and his wife, Jean, we have connected thousands of people to causes that matter, channeling collective generosity into lasting community impact. We believe that giving back is not just something we do—it is who we are.

Equally important has been our focus on expanding opportunities for involvement. As a spinal cord injury survivor, this has been a key part of what I wanted to bring to the Foundation. By creating more accessible and inclusive ways for attorneys, business professionals, families, and friends to participate, we are building a framework that not only reflects the values of the firm, but also the communities we live in and serve. As we look ahead, let’s do so with gratitude and optimism. There is much more work to be done. There are many more lives to touch. I’m confident that with the continued dedication and collaboration of each one of us, the Foundation will continue to build on this momentum and deepen its impact in the years to come. On behalf of Michael and myself, thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who made 2025 a huge success!

2025 Was a Year Defined by P-words. Purpose, Partnership, and Progress. Together with Co-President Michael Wadley, the Board of Directors, and our dedicated Office Committee Chairs, I’ve continued to witness what’s possible when people come together with a shared commitment to serve. Across our offices and communities, volunteers gave their time, talents, and energy to causes that matter, strengthening connections not only with those we serve, but with one another. Throughout our Annual Report, you will see the many ways our offices and volunteers came together for their communities. Each effort reflects a shared commitment to service and a belief that small acts, when multiplied, create meaningful impact. This year, I’ve been especially inspired by the way our community has embraced opportunities to engage. Whether through service projects, providing monetary support, or simply showing up when help was needed, each contribution has played a role in advancing our mission, inspired by the vision of our founders Sam and Jean Guyton, which continues to guide everything we do. The collective impact we made in 2025 is a powerful reminder that meaningful change doesn’t happen in isolation, but rather it happens together.

“As a passionate dog owner and lover of animals, it was very rewarding to see the number of items we collected for our local animal shelter. Not only did we provide items for the animals that were currently in the shelter’s care, but our donations came at a time when the animal shelter was taking in animals that were displaced due to the typhoon that hit Western Alaska. Needless to say, the staff at the shelter were happy to have our donations.”

“I serve on the H&H Foundation because our firm depends on our local communities. Our livelihoods are inextricably linked to our communities—schools, medical services, or other services form the foundation of our communities, and without them, we would not be able to thrive. It is important that we give back to and support our communities, especially those less served portions of our community. Such giving back preserves and honors our connection to our communities.”

Katy Brautigam Committee Chair
“I serve with the H&H Foundation because I enjoy representing our firm in the community and assisting people in tangible ways. It is a great way to get out from behind your desk and engage with the place you live and work.”

“I have been a part of the Foundation for close to 12 years. I love many things about the H&H Foundation, but in particular, how it puts the Firm’s values into action, especially our commitment to “our communities” and “our commitment to one another.” Foundation events are a unique opportunity to not only get to know each other but to get to build deeper ties to the cities and communities where we have the privilege to practice law.”
Lisa Merlino Committee Member
“I choose to serve on the H&H Foundation because it allows me to connect with people and gives me a strong sense of purpose and belonging when helping others.”
Tori Osler Committee Member
“I have been the Secretary and member of the Boise H&H Foundation since 2020. I joined the Foundation as a way for myself and my family to give back to our local community. I love that my children can participate in many of the activities that we do and that I can teach them the importance of giving back.”
Denver
Morgan Thompson Committee Chair
“Serving as the H&H Foundation's Denver Committee Chair has been one of the most rewarding parts of my time at the firm. What drives me is the moment at every event when I look around and see so many colleagues showing up wholeheartedly—it's a beautiful reminder that our job as a committee is simply to open the door and let people’s generosity do the rest. Some of my favorite relationships in the firm have come from this work, formed with people I may never have crossed paths with otherwise, and those connections make the impact we make in our community all the more meaningful.”

Brad Flynt Committee Chair & Board Secretary
“Serving the Jackson Hole community through the Holland & Hart Foundation is a great way to have a meaningful connection with your community and your colleagues. The Holland & Hart Foundation is a great reminder of how we can all make an impact throughout our firm’s footprint.”

“Volunteering with the Holland & Hart Foundation has been a fulfilling experience in finding areas we can contribute, connect, and build community within the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area. Small actions such as face painting can go a long way.”
Reno
Michael Crisostomo Committee Chair
“I've had the privilege of serving as committee chair of the Reno H&H Foundation for the past few years, and I can honestly say I've enjoyed every single minute of it—I'm truly passionate about giving back to the communities we serve. Through this role, I've discovered that volunteer efforts give us another valuable avenue to make a community impact and connect with those around us outside of the office. It's been incredibly rewarding to see how our collective efforts can make a meaningful difference in people's lives while strengthening the bonds within our own community.”
Liz Ford Committee Member
“I've been involved with the H&H Foundation since 2018, and what I love most is getting to work alongside my colleagues on something meaningful outside of our day-to-day work. The volunteer events give us a great chance to connect with each other in a different way while making a real difference in our community. It's been rewarding to see how our efforts have grown over the years, and I genuinely enjoy being part of a team that's committed to giving back.”
Gratitude from some of our partner organizations.
